Todays blog post is the start of a new book, This has been a long time favorite artist for mine, and Ive been sitting on this book for years. Jim Flora has the most amazing design and ideas, a true master of his times.
Jim Flora (1914–1998) was an American illustrator best known for his wildly inventive jazz album covers for Columbia and RCA Victor in the 1940s and ’50s, combining bold colors, angular figures, and playful surrealism. He also created children’s books and fine art, bringing the same mischievous humor and rhythmic energy to fantastical creatures and everyday scenes, Enjoy!
