Todays blog post us the start of a new book, Im very happy to bring into the blog archive a new artist, Maurice Sendak!
Maurice Sendak (1928–2012) was an American illustrator and author best known for the children’s book Where the Wild Things Are. Maurice Sendak was mostly self-taught, he developed a richly detailed drawing style influenced by classic illustration, comics, and animation. His work explored imaginative worlds with an honest understanding of children’s anger, fears, and independence. His books where some of the first to challenge the idea that picture books should always be sweet or reassuring.
