Tom Oreb joined Disney in 1932, and started as an assistant animator working under Norm Ferguson. He later moved into story and character development. During the 1950s, he specialized in character design for Disney’s theatrical films and television commercials. For Sleeping Beauty, he developed character designs that complemented Eyvind Earle’s stylized visual direction.
